Black Magic Hair & Body Oil is our multi-purpose Emu Bush elixir, made for those days when your skin, scalp or hair is crying out for some extra nourishment.

We've blended our family's treasured Emu Bush with Castor, Australian Jojoba, Avocado and Macadamia Oils, plus Eucalyptus, Nerolina and Lavender, to create a rich botanical oil that moisturises, softens and conditions from head to toe.

Massage it into dry skin. Work it through dry ends. Give your scalp some love. Add a little to your bath.

What's in it?

  • Emu Bush The heart of our Black Magic range. Our family's treasured native botanical and part of the knowledge passed down through our grandmothers. It's the ingredient that started Jyelah and continues to sit at the heart of what we do.
  • Castor Oil The rich one. Deeply conditioning for skin, scalp and hair, helping soften dry areas and nourish brittle-feeling strands.
  • Australian Jojoba Oil A beautiful multi-tasker that helps moisturise and condition both skin and hair without leaving them feeling stripped.
  • Avocado Oil Rich in fatty acids and made for thirsty hair. Helps nourish and condition dry strands, leaving hair feeling softer and smoother.
  • Macadamia Oil Another nourishing favourite, rich in fatty acids that help soften and condition both skin and hair.
  • Natural Vitamin E An antioxidant that helps nourish and condition the skin and hair.
  • Eucalyptus Oil Brings that fresh, cooling botanical feel while complementing this nourishing oil blend.
  • Nerolina Oil An Australian native essential oil with a soft, fresh aroma that complements the soothing, botanical feel of the blend.
  • Lavender Oil The wind-down ingredient. Its beautiful botanical aroma makes this oil perfect for your nighttime body ritual, massage or bath.
  • Kakadu Plum A little native powerhouse naturally rich in Vitamin C and antioxidant compounds.
  • Soybean Oil A lightweight conditioning oil that helps soften both skin and hair.

How to use:

BODY
Massage a small amount into damp or dry skin, concentrating on anywhere that needs extra moisture. Beautiful straight after a shower while your skin is still slightly damp.

 

HAIR

Smooth a small amount through the mid-lengths and ends to condition dry hair and add shine. Start small — you can always add more.

 

SCALP

Massage a small amount directly into the scalp and leave it in as a pre-wash treatment before shampooing thoroughly.

 

BATH

Add a small amount to warm bath water, get in and let yourself have five bloody minutes of peace.

Jyelah Tip:

This oil is concentrated, so don't go pouring half the bottle into your hair on day one!

Start with a small amount and build from there. Your skin might happily drink up more, while your hair may only need a few drops.

And if your ends are particularly dry, warm a couple of drops between your palms and lightly smooth them over the ends.

Good to know:

This formula contains essential oils, including Eucalyptus and Lavender. Patch test before first use, particularly if you have very sensitive skin, and avoid contact with the eyes.
